Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Germany Annalena Baerbock.

The discussions revolved around the current situation in the region, as well as the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed in detail about the current situation in the region, noting that the claims on “tense humanitarian situation” and “blockade” disseminated by Armenia are groundless and are an integral part of its political manipulations.

FM Bayramov said that the fact that Armenia and its so-called regime rejected Azerbaijan’s proposal on the synchronized use of the Aghdam-Khankendi and Lachin roads to ensure the delivery of cargo through the International Committee of the Red Cross once again shows that the claims on humanitarian situation are false.

He also described Armenia’s provocative steps that hinder efforts to establish peace and stability in the region in the post-conflict period, including statements supporting Armenia’s so-called regime established in the territories of Azerbaijan and the non-withdrawal of its armed forces from Azerbaijani territories as a source of threat.

Jeyhun Bayramov also briefed the German FM about Armenia’s ongoing military provocations and mine threats.

During the phone conversation, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
