Another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Qatar was held here on Friday.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev and Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects for bilateral cooperation with respect to political, economic, energy, humanitarian, inter-parliamentary relations, issues of cooperation as part of the inter-parliamentary relations, cooperation within international organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement.

The sides also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

The Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister briefed Qatari side about the post-conflict situation in the region, including the restoration, construction, as well as reintegration issues in the liberated areas.
