Cycling marathon held in Baku on International Women’s Day

As part of "Sports Week," a women's cycling marathon was held in Baku on March 8, organized by the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).
The ride, which brought together women from various fields, took place along the Seaside Boulevard.
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, and President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation Madat Guliyev participated in the event.
The primary goal of the ride was to support amateur female cyclists in utilizing their leisure time effectively, promote bicycles as an eco-friendly mode of transport, and encourage women to embrace cycling.
Participants followed the route from the Azneft Circle to the Marine Passenger Terminal.
