Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister participates in international forum in Croatia

On July 11–12, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov participated in the “Dubrovnik Forum” international event, held under the slogan “Channelling the Change” in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

During the forum, Deputy Minister Mammadov joined a panel discussion titled “Connecting Europe and Asia: Pathways to Partnership and Prosperity.” In his speech, he emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening political and economic ties between Europe and Asia for international stability and sustainable development. He highlighted Azerbaijan’s growing role as a reliable partner and a sustainable transport and logistics corridor bridging the two continents.

Mammadov underscored that Azerbaijan, through its leadership in multilateral projects in the transport, energy, and communications sectors, makes significant contributions to regional integration and plays a strategic coordinating role in the Eurasian space.

On the sidelines of the forum, Deputy Minister Mammadov held a meeting with Lu Shaye, head of the People’s Republic of China’s delegation and Special Representative for European Affairs. The discussion focused on the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, including high-level visits in recent years and the cooperation agreements signed during these engagements.

Additionally, in a meeting with Russ Jalichandra, Thailand’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mammadov exchanged views on the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Thailand. They reviewed opportunities to develop cooperation in the economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields, as well as mutual support within multilateral platforms.
