On August 14, Baku hosted an official event celebrating the Pakistan’s Independence Day.

First, the Pakistani flag was raised to the sound of the national anthem. Verses from the Holy Quran were recited.

Subsequently, message of congratulation from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif addressed to the people of Pakistan were read out, emphasizing the significance of this remarkable day.

Addressing the event, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin emphasized the historical importance of this day.

He hailed the strong ties of friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, highlighting the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan held in Lachin on May 28.

The ambassador also touched upon the Karabakh Victory, describing it as a landmark event in military history.
