EU Special Representative for South Caucasus briefed on advancements in Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process

On November 5, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Magdalena Grono, Special Representative of the European Union (EU) for the South Caucasus.

During the meeting, the discussions focused on current state and prospects for Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as regional and global matters.

The meeting reviewed cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU across political, economic, transport, energy security, and other domains. The officials underscored the importance of negotiations on the Azerbaijan-EU cooperation platforms and mechanisms.

They commended the contacts and dialogue held between the two parties in recent months, underscoring the significance of continuing these efforts.

Special Representative Grono expressed EU’s readiness to support the outcomes reached during the Washington Summit.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the EU Special Representative on the advancements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, the future prospects, and Azerbaijan’s position on this matter.

The meeting also addressed other bilateral and regional matters of shared concern.
