Nizami Ganjavi International Center expands relations with Chinese partners

A delegation of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center held high-level meetings in Beijing.

The visit began with a meeting with Ambassador Wu Hongbo, former Special Representative of the Chinese Government for European Affairs. Then, meetings were held with Professor Mansfield Freeman of Tsinghua University, Director of the Center for China in the World Economy (CCWE), renowned economist Li Daokui, as well as David Pan, Executive Dean of the Schwarzman College.

During the meetings, opportunities for cooperation, as well as the participation of Chinese representatives in the 13th Global Baku Forum were discussed.

The delegation also met with President Wu Ken and Vice President Yan Tao of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.

The parties exchanged views on humanitarian dialogue, prospects for joint efforts on global issues, and multilateral cooperation.

The program also included a meeting with Professor Justin Yifu Lin, former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. Following a discussion of regional economic trends and sustainable development strategies, the meeting also exchanged views on the 13th Global Baku Forum, the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in 2026 and the Center's events organized within the framework of the UN.

The Beijing meetings further strengthened the strategic relationship of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre with Chinese partners and enhanced the role of the Centre in promoting global dialogue.
