Pursuant to the annual action plan approved by the Minister of Defense, a series of events dedicated to the Novruz and Ramadan holidays were held across various branches of the Azerbaijan Army, including the Combined Arms Army, army corps, formations, and special military educational institutions.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the events commenced with a tribute to National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Congratulatory messages from the head of state and the Minister of Defense were conveyed to the personnel, aimed at promoting national and moral values and further strengthening the spirit of patriotism.

Speakers at the festive events highlighted that the arrival of spring is celebrated in the country with joy, enthusiasm, and great solemnity. They also addressed the historical background of Novruz and Ramadan traditions, emphasizing the people’s strong attachment to their customs and their observance at the state level.

It was noted that the participation of Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva in the celebrations alongside the people, as well as his congratulatory message to the nation on the occasion of the holidays, has been a source of morale for the personnel of the Azerbaijan Army.

Concert programs were presented as part of the events by creative teams from the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov and the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center. Distinguished servicemembers who excelled in their duties were also awarded.

Additionally, during the holidays, personnel visited the graves of the martyrs. Servicemen also paid visits to the families of the martyrs, inquired about their needs and concerns, and presented them with holiday gifts.

The meetings emphasized that the Azerbaijani state always honors the memory of its martyrs and supports their family members with great attention and care.
