Azerbaijani PM meets with Turkish Cypriot counterpart

On April 1, Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, met with Ünal Üstel, Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

During the meeting, the discussions focused on the current state and prospects of the Azerbaijan-TRNC relations across various domains.

The PMs hailed the increase of reciprocal visits, and the development of interparliamentary cooperation, as well as the collaboration between the political parties of both countries.

The officials underscored the importance of enhancing humanitarian, cultural, and tourism ties.

Stressing the significance of cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the officials underlined the TRNC’s contributions to the activity of the organization as an observer state.

The meeting highlighted the importance of the meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice Presidents of the OTS Member States held in Baku.

The officials emphasized the importance of the Baku-hosted meeting in reinforcing intergovernmental coordination within the OTS framework and more efficiently advancing the common agenda on priority areas identified by the heads of state.
