Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, U.S. State Department delegation discuss Charter on Strategic Partnership
On April 15, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov met with Rebecca Neff, Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, along with representatives of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).
The sides discussed issues related to the implementation of the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the two countries, including cooperation in energy and trade, regional connectivity, and economic investment.
They exchanged views on transport, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and other potential projects, as well as ongoing efforts in these areas and the participation of private sector representatives.
The parties also reviewed Azerbaijan’s important role in regional energy security, the diversification of trade routes along the Middle Corridor, and the country’s favorable business and investment environment, as well as opportunities for establishing new partnerships.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other bilateral issues of mutual interest.
