Azerbaijan showcases locally produced defense systems at DSA 2026 exhibition in Malaysia
On April 21, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense Industry Mehman Bakhishov met with İhsan Kaya, Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat of Defense Industries, and İlhami Keleş, General Manager of the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation, on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the Defence Services Asia (DSA 2026) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur.
The sides exchanged views on further expanding cooperation in the defense industry, the production of weapons and military equipment, as well as the application of new technological solutions.
The meeting focused on sharing best practices, applying innovative approaches, and strengthening scientific and technical cooperation.
The parties emphasized the importance of further improving existing cooperation mechanisms and highlighted the significance of ongoing efforts to develop a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.
As part of the visit, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah, Prince of Kedah State of Malaysia, Musa Heybet, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Türkiye, and Adly bin Zahari, Deputy Minister of Defense of Malaysia, viewed the stand of Azersilah Defense Industry Holding CJSC.
They were briefed on defense products manufactured in Azerbaijan.
