Azerbaijan adds 31 Turkish citizens to list of “undesirable persons”
Azerbaijan has included 31 Turkish citizens on its list of “undesirable persons,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said in a statement.
The Ministry noted that, in connection with calls made on various social media networks and internet platforms targeting the sovereignty, national security and constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as its people and leadership, and calls for the forcible overthrow of the government, violence on the grounds of religious radicalism, and the incitement of religious hatred and hostility, 31 Turkish citizens had been declared “undesirable persons” in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation. Their entry into the territory of Azerbaijan has been prohibited.
The statement also noted that appropriate measures would continue to be taken in response to calls targeting the Republic of Azerbaijan and activities promoting hostility.
