President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has visited a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev as part of his visit to Ismayilli district.

The head of state laid flowers at the statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Informing President Ilham Aliyev about the landscaping work done and projects implemented in the district, head of Ismayilli District Executive Authority Nahid Baghirov, said:

- Mr. President, I would like to inform you about the investments we have attracted. A large caramel factory and a factory of confectionaries have been established in the village of Ivanovka. Looking forward to your blessing.

President Ilham Aliyev: In the village?

Nahid Baghirov: Yes, in the village, and it has a wonderful design. More than 200 people work here.

President Ilham Aliyev: Do they produce candies?

Nahid Baghirov: Butter scotch, candies and confectionaries. Mr. President, the grain yield in the Ivanovka village has increased two and a half times compared to last year. Last year, it was 11 quintals per hectare and this year it is already 28 quintals.

President Ilham Aliyev: Due to what? New technologies and equipment?

Nahid Baghirov: Due to new technologies, correct and timely use of nitrogen and other fertilizers.

President Ilham Aliyev: In principle, there may be more than 28 quintals there. If irrigation projects are implemented, the yield will increase.

Nahid Baghirov: There is black soil.

President Ilham Aliyev: In general, the land in Ismayilli is very good and fertile. What is the average yield?

Nahid Baghirov: Last year it was 35 quintals and this year it will be around 36 quintals.

President Ilham Aliyev: Good! What about other things?

Nahid Baghirov: Mr. President, besides this, we are currently in talks with Coca-Cola and Efes factories. They have already come here, our geologists have studied and given their approval by about 80 percent, so we are waiting for the end of the pandemic period.

President Ilham Aliyev: Will they invest in the construction of a factory?

Nahid Baghirov: Yes, they will. Coca-Cola and Efes factories. They are part of the same group, so they want to be together. We have already allocated a place.

President Ilham Aliyev: Very good! Is this a new bus stop?

Nahid Baghirov: Yes, Mr. President. We applied this in Ismayilli for the first time.

President Ilham Aliyev: It looks nice.

Nahid Baghirov: We are planning to install them in three locations in our city. We have also ordered an electric bus. There are eight benches at the new stop. These are local products, Mr. President.

President Ilham Aliyev: Where are they produced?

Nahid Baghirov: In Azerbaijan, in Balakhani, in the technology park.

President Ilham Aliyev: In the technology park?

Nahid Baghirov: Yes, Mr. President, if you don’t mind, we would open its branch in Ismayilli. The entrepreneur wants this too.

President Ilham Aliyev: Of course, do open it taking into account both this and surrounding districts. True, there is no tourism right now, but after the quarantine is over, I think good work will be done in relation to domestic tourism.

Nahid Baghirov: We have already started this work.

President Ilham Aliyev: Very good!
