Task Force: Public catering facilities will be allowed open-air customer service from 18 August

The Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has decided to introduce changes to the tight quarantine regime in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad and Mingachevir, as well as Absheron, Barda, Salyan, Khachmaz, Goranboy and Goygol districts.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, starting from 18 August 2020, public catering facilities will be allowed to provide services to customers in the open air.

Public catering facilities in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad and Mingachevir, as well as Absheron, Barda, Salyan, Khachmaz, Goranboy and Goygol districts, including restaurants, cafes, tea houses and other places of this nature, will be allowed to provide customer service in the open air from 09:00 to 22:00 (except for the use of hookah equipment and concentration of more than six people at one table).

For the purposes of this decision, a public catering facility is a property (restaurants, cafes, canteens, snack bars, cafeteria, pavilions, tea houses and other facilities of this nature) used to provide services related to the organization of production, processing, sale and consumption of food.

An open-air area of a public catering facility means an area that is completely open to air flow at least on three sides (without any structures or other structural obstacles higher than one meter) or a fully open area (under the open sky).

At the entrances, exits and cash desks of public catering facilities, there shall be access to a disinfectant solution and the opportunity to use appropriate equipment (dispensers) with a disinfectant solution, and this equipment shall be in operable condition.

According to the decision, the activities of such public catering facilities shall be organized in accordance with the existing rules, sanitary norms and requirements of methodological guidelines.
