Pakistan and Azerbaijan on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Disaster Management Cooperation in Islamabad, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov signed the document.

Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz was also present on the occasion.

Under the agreement, Pakistan and Azerbaijan will assist each other in case of emergencies and natural disasters.

Earlier, the two foreign minister held delegation-level talks and reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
