On February 4 in the afternoon, an explosion occurred in the territory of Aghdam district, Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry told AZERTAC.

According to the ministry, soldier Gubad Islam Zeynalov died as a result of the incident.

“Two servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army, Nemat Novruz Babayev and Balagardash Mubariz Malikmammadov suffered body injuries of varying degrees. Currently, the wounded servicemen are under medical supervision, and there is no threat to their lives.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated, the case is being investigated.

The leadership of the Defense Ministry expresses its deep condolences to the family of the deceased serviceman,” the ministry said.
