Azerbaijani grandmaster Teymur Rajabov has progressed to the semifinal of the Opera Euro Rapid, the 3rd stage of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour, after defeating Dutch Anish Giri in the quarterfinal.

Rajabov will face American Wesley So in the semifinal.
